Residential Range

Toshiba’s residential products combine high levels of efficiency with low noise levels and striking modern design, and have been designed to offer the best possible comfort for users.

Toshiba’s R-410A residential air conditioning products offer a unique combination of benefits: unmatched air quality, energy efficiency, compact good looks, sophisticated controls, low sound levels and easy installation.

Air quality is guaranteed by many stages of filtration, combined with additional features such as pre-treatment removal of fine particles, viruses, bacteria and allergens. High-wall units have special filtration systems that remove odours and pollutants and prevent mould formation.

Toshiba’s advanced remote controls can store user-preferred settings, and have Hi-Power (fast temperature set), Eco-logic (energy saving) and Quiet mode (low noise level) options, and an Auto-Diagnosis function that constantly monitors system functions and components to simplify maintenance.

The range of inverter high wall units are the ultra-quiet Suzumi (SKV), the energy-saving Super Daiseikai (SKVP). , Also available is the slim-line GKHP range of fixed speed high-wall units.

For premises that need air conditioning in more than one room, Toshiba offers a multi-split system – one outdoor unit is able to operate up to four indoor units. Outdoor units are equipped with Toshiba’s DC hybrid inverter for improved performance and reliability, and can be matched with a choice of indoor units, including Suzumi & Super Daisekai high-walls, ducted units, and the new 600 x 600mm ceiling cassette.

Commercial and Small Business

State of the art inverter technology brings together compact, lightweight units with exceptional performance, offering considerable advantages in terms of capacity, energy savings and optimised comfort. An extensive range of indoor unit options brings flexible, highly efficient solutions to the commercial sector.

For commercial applications, Toshiba offers a complete range of indoor units: ceiling cassettes, ducted, ceiling-suspended, high-wall and flexi units. The advanced technology of Toshiba’s Digital Inverter control module brings considerable advantage in terms of capacity, energy savings and optimum comfort. Toshiba’s Digital and Super Digital Inverters reduce energy consumption by up to 40% compared with traditional fixed speed units.

Commercial outdoor units are extremely compact and lightweight – the 14kW unit weighs in at only 77kg. Refrigerant piping length of up to 75m means that outdoor units can be positioned in difficult installation spaces.

The new Series Four Inverter has a filter in the refrigerant circuit, allowing the use of existing refrigerant pipework designed for old R22 or R407C refrigerant, greatly improving ease of installation. Toshiba’s commercial air conditioning systems use R410A refrigerant, the most energy efficient, non-ozone depleting refrigerant available.

Corporate and Large Business

Toshiba’s all inverter technology offers the best solution for large commercial and industrial buildings. All systems combine high efficiency levels, operational flexibility and reduced maintenance requirements with a range of controls that ensure maximum comfort and excellent performance.

The wide range of indoor units gives the flexibility to provide a solution to any application.

The flexibility of the Toshiba VRF range ensures ideal solutions for schools, shopping centres, offices, hotels, multi-tenanted residential buildings, and almost any other commercial application. With the new generation of VRF units, SMMS & MiNi-SMMS heat pump and SHRM heat recovery ranges, Toshiba sets new technological standards.

The wide range of indoor units makes Toshiba’s VRF suitable for almost any requirement. The performance of all models is maximised with low sound levels and optimised air flows. Extremely compact design leads to reduce installation time and cost. The portfolio includes one, two and four-way cassettes, standard and slim ducted units, ceiling suspended and high-wall units, and floor standing models. This range is complimented by the range heat recovery fresh air units which enable tempperd fresh air to be introduced into the occupied space.

The three VRF ranges give great flexibility: SHRM (Super Heat Recovery System) provides simultaneous heating and cooling, SMMS (Super Modular Multi System) provides cooling or heating., The compact MiNi-SMMS provides cooling or heating, launched in 2006, bridges the gap between VRF and multi-split systems, making it ideal for both commercial and residential systems.

Toshiba’s range of controllers is made up of three control types: local, central and network controls. A wired local controller can monitor a single unit or a group of up to eight indoor units. With a central controller, up to 126 indoor units can be monitored individually. Toshiba’s central controllers are compact and user-friendly and can be combined with local controls to optimise user comfort. Various interfaces / gateways are available which allow the integration of the VRF air conditioning equipment with on site BMS (Building Management Systems) such as Trend, Modbus and LONWorks.

In-House Design

AMP’s in-house team use flexible design software to specify solutions which meet both technical and budgetary requirements. AMP’s designers can produce a total package which includes full system drawings, wiring schematics and pipework drawings. In the case of large, complex applications, AMP’s expert team will also advise the customer on the optimum interface between the aircon installation and the building management system.

Training

Customer training in Toshiba systems can be arranged through AMP. Toshiba’s training centre, which is located in Leatherhead, is full of working systems and much of the training is hands on. In depth courses on the VRF range of equipment are available along with courses on the extensive range of Toshiba controls.

Pre sales

AMP has a team of highly trained field-based sales staff covering all of the UK. Fully conversant with AMP’s product portfolio, their aim is to ensure the selection of the most suitable system for customers’ needs. They can help to put end-users in touch with contractors and assist with site surveys and visit contracts if required. The central sales department at Head Office can also provide advice and quotations.

After sales technical support

In the unlikely event of any problems during or after installation and commissioning, fault finding is made quick and simple thanks to the full back-up support of our highly experienced office or field-based technical staff, who are fully trained in the use of state-of-the-art diagnostic software. An extensive electronic library of manuals is available for customers to download if required.

Logistics

AMP’s aim is not only to supply the right product, but to ensure that projects run to plan by providing exactly what the customer needs, exactly when it’s needed.

Our 11,000 sq ft purpose-built facility in Welwyn Garden City allows us to hold extensive stocks of Toshiba products to ensure availability as and when our clients require. We also stock a large range of spare parts so that in the unlikely event of a failure, down time is kept to a minimum.

AMP has its own fleet of vehicles, giving complete control over meeting customers’ deadlines. If orders are placed by 11:00am, AMP can offer next-day and timed deliveries. It is often possible to offer next-day delivery on orders placed later than 11:00am if product is in stock. Standard delivery is between 8:00am and 5:00 pm, but in the case of spares, specialised, flexible arrangements are available, with weekend or evening delivery if necessary.

Incentive Scheme

The purpose of Toshiba’s Additions Benefit Scheme, launched in January 2008, is to ensure end user satisfaction by encouraging the highest standards among installers and contractors. The Additions scheme will reward contractors and installers who buy Toshiba products and training via a points system. Customers who register with AMP will be sent monthly statements and can redeem the points they accumulate against Toshiba air conditioning products.

Toshiba’s Additions Members have been audited for technical excellence by Toshiba’s Technical Department. The audit ensures their engineers have been trained on Toshiba air conditioning products, including installation and service.

Registration is open to all contractors in the HVAC industry – classification depends on a mix of industry experience, quality installations, product knowledge, professionalism, and brand loyalty.
